All services are provided exclusively in person at our physical location in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements.
4. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
TelEx operates as a registered Money Services Business (MSB) in Canada and complies with all applicable federal and provincial laws, including but not limited to:
The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act
FINTRAC regulations and reporting obligations
Applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
Canadian sanctions and economic measures legislation
Customers may be required to provide valid government-issued identification and additional documentation in order to complete a transaction.
TelEx may retain records as required by law.
5. Sanctions & Prohibited Jurisdictions
TelEx strictly complies with Canadian economic sanctions laws, including measures administered under the Special Economic Measures Act (SEMA) and related regulations.
TelEx does not conduct transactions, directly or indirectly, involving:
The Islamic Republic of Iran
Individuals, entities, or financial institutions located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in Iran
Any country, individual, or entity subject to Canadian economic sanctions
TelEx reserves the unconditional right to refuse, decline, suspend, or cancel any transaction that may expose the business to regulatory, sanctions, compliance, or reputational risk.
Where necessary, additional verification or documentation may be requested.
6. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
TelEx reserves the sole and absolute discretion to refuse service or decline any transaction where:
Regulatory or compliance concerns arise
Required identification is not provided
Suspicious or unusual activity is identified
Internal compliance policies are not satisfied
The transaction may breach applicable laws
No explanation is required to be provided for refusal of service.
